Choice of lead photo modifier

Please can we choose between these two photos for the lead image. Yann is edit warring to include his variant which he altered using Gimp on his laptop PC to be less pink/brown and unfortunately it has a green tint. The original is a brown carbon print, which is extremely famous, and is on display in the Getty Museum. I would appreciate the opinions of the main editors of this article, and not further personal attacks by Yann. There is already discussion about this image at "Le salon de médiation" (above) and on Commons. -- Colin (discuter) 21 février 2019 à 23:36 (CET)Répondre

Note that on 9 March, Yann overwrote his green-tinted modification with a neutral gray but also with artificially boosted contrast compared to the original. I still believe we should show the original well-known brown-tinted carbon print, which is what photos looked like in 1875, rather make it look like a 20th century modern b&w. There is no reason to choose a home-made version by an amateur, when we have the original, made by professionals. -- Colin (discuter) 10 mars 2019 à 11:35 (CET)Répondre
Of course. We should use the original version for historical purposes.--Braaark (discuter) 10 mars 2019 à 12:08 (CET)Répondre
