Watchever
modifierWatchever is a company 100% owned by Vivendi, specialized in digital entertainment and operating online video services such as watchever.de. Watchever teams are spread over 3 different locations in Europe: the International and administrative teams are located in Paris, the operational ones in Berlin while the development pole is based in Marseille.
Created in 2007 under the name Vivendi Mobile Entertainment, it firstly launched in France and Germany the online entertainment platform zaOza, a subscribing service distributing video games, music, movies, etc. on mobile devices and the Web. Drawing on its experience in online video, Vivendi Mobile Entertainment evolved into Watchever, and launched since 2013 several online video services such as Watchever.de and KiDS by Watchever in Germany.
A Vivendi Village Company
modifierWatchever is part of Vivendi Village, which combines Vivendi Ticketing (ticketing in the UK, the US and France), MyBestPro (matching clients with professional service providers), and the renowned Paris-based concert venue L’Olympia[1].

Technical details
modifierFeatures
modifierWatchever proposes content in HD, original version and dubbed in German.
Offline mode
modifierWatchever was one of the first SVOD services in the world to offer offline mode. It allows the subscribers to download until 25 episodes or 5 movies – depending on the device storage ability - for a limited period of time (30 days) for playing them on his mobile devices even without internet connection. Once the user has started to play a content he has 48 hours to watch it. Should this time be exceeded he will have to download it again. This content can be played instantaneously on several devices, and can be manually erased once watched.
Recommendation engine
modifierWatchever teams developed an in-house recommendation engine and made it evolve so the movies and tv shows recommendation would be based on similar profile rather than similar genres, thanks to a segmented audience approach. It avoids “obvious” recommendation and personalizes the user’s homepage as he watches content.
