Ramzi was born in London, England but was raised in Lagos, Nigeria where he learnt to sing and play instruments at the age of 9. His parents, both Lebanese, were music lovers and his mother a classical piano teacher. He was known at school for his musical talent, which he excelled in winning numerous awards and performing annually at school talent contests. He also featured on a few TV shows aired on NTA, the Nigerian Television Association.

Over the years Ramzi developed his musical talent further and due to his diverse upbringing was influenced by a wide range of musical genres, which he listened to and performed.

He spent his teen years performing with bands much older than him and by the age of 17 became popular in the Lagos music scene, performing regularly at renowned live music venues. Along with being a musician Ramzi also became known as a DJ and was the resident DJ at a popular nightclub.

At 19 Ramzi returned to the UK where he studied sound engineering, midi technology and took lessons in classical piano and music theory. He started performing and making a name for himself in London on the live circuit whilst also developing his songwriting and producing skills working with other artists. It wasn’t long before Ramzi began to attract the attention of managers and record company A&R executives as an artist and songwriter.
