Wistow (Yorkshire du Nord)

Wistow est un village et une paroisse civile du Yorkshire du Nord, en Angleterre. Il est situé dans le sud du comté, à environ quatre kilomètres au nord de la ville de Selby. Au moment du recensement de 2011, il comptait 1 333 habitants[1] et au recensement de 2021, elle comptait 1 335 habitants[2].

Toponymie
modifierWistow dérive du vieil anglais wīc-stōw « lieu d'habitation ». Ce nom est attesté vers 1030 sous la forme Wicstow[4].
