Tournoi panarabe 2021 modifier

Cordialement. --Fayçal.09 (discuter) 5 août 2020 à 20:22 (CEST)Répondre

Faycal.09 Unfortunately I don’t speak French, so I’ll answer in English. Yes, you are right: I should have discussed my changes. I’ll explain. As of now, the tournament has not been officially described as an edition of the Arab Nations Cup, rather as a “pan-Arab tournament”. See the QFA article, which says words such as “this new pan-Arab tournament” and “the creation of this pan-Arab tournament”. Also, the tournament will be organised by the QFA and FIFA, not the UAFA. For now, I think the best title is “2021 pan-Arab tournament” (Tournoi panarabe 2021); once the QFA will officially release the logo and brand name, we will rename the Wikipedia page. Ok we speak in english. In the official QFA site, they are talking about a pan arab tournament. The Arab Cup or the World Cup are also tournaments. Of course the sponsorship is different because the competition is organized by the QFA and FIFA, but normally it is part of the Arab Cup as mentioned in many official sites like: La Gazette du Fennec or Sport Rim.
To make myself understood, I can add as an example, the Confederations Cup where the first two editions were organized by the SAFF, after the third edition the fifa took the relay. another exemple is about the Afro-Asian Cup of Nations where all editions where organized by CAF and AFC, only the last one (2007) had organized by AFC alone. --Fayçal.09 (discuter) 5 août 2020 à 22:50 (CEST)Répondre
Faycal.09 Ok, but when the QFA president says words like “this NEW pan-Arab tournament” and “the CREATION of this pan-Arab tournament”, it means that this is a stand-alone tournament, not the 10th edition of the Arab Nations Cup. For now (5 August 2020), I would keep the article as “2021 pan-Arab tournament”. In a few days/months, the QFA will announce the official logo and branding (and, IF the tournament is the 10th edition of the Arab Nations Cup), we will change the Wikipedia page. Ok Nehme1499, that's allright for your proposition so. --Fayçal.09 (discuter) 5 août 2020 à 23:22 (CEST)Répondre
