Global Language Monitor
modifierBonjour! Sorry for writing in English, but that's probably easier. I think we could include the ranking table of the Global Language Monitor here, perhaps someone more francophone can do that.
Rank (2014) | City | Score | 4 | Milan | 4 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | New York | 1 | |||
2 | Paris | 2 | |||
3 | London | 2 | |||
4 | Los Angeles | 5 | |||
5 | Barcelona | 2 | |||
6 | Rome | ||||
7 | Berlin | 3 | |||
8 | Sydney | 7 | |||
9 | Antwerp | 2 | |||
10 | Shanghai | 12 |

- We do not need to expand this part, there is a section for it : Global Language Monitor. Only a few lines are useful here in Capitale de la mode to return to the main article. Furthermore, interest is very low, Global Language Monitor is not a reference field because it is a crude classification without analysis over a very short period. Zero encyclopedic interest.

- Bonjour, the specific article doesn't include the list either. You could of course question the methods, but the language use is by all means of importance, the most talked about is likely to be the most relevant in this case. If you question the encyclopedic value, then tell us why. Cheers, Horst-schlaemma (discuter) 1 novembre 2014 à 10:36 (CET)
- (traduction automatique/Google translation, sorry) GLM is very controversial, method to arrive at the result being based on Anglo-Saxon sources. Moreover, it will be encyclopedic the day when books have devoted on an analysis of the results on many years.
- GLM is not a work done by historians, it is at best a working basis for historians, later. Present the facts year after year does not serve an encyclopedia, it's journalism. In addition, crude classification, tables and list without explanation and without secondary sources lists are not suited here. Sourcing raw information from the official site is not admissible ; analyse with several secondary sources is the only way to go ; text, not list. Thank you to pay attention to this in all your insertions on WP:fr : text + sources. --Arroser (râler ?) 1 novembre 2014 à 12:15 (CET)
- Yeah, I see. Let's pretend Wikipedia is based on paper and it's 1985.
