Raïssa Malu, born in Kinshasa [1], is a Congolese physicist, teacher and author, who promotes STEM education, especialluy in the physics, mathematics and technological sciences in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Raïssa Malu is the daughter of Congolese professor, physicist and engineer Félix Malu wa Kalenga, known for being a Founding member of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), a fomer member of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)[2]
In 2014, Raïssa Malu contacted the Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST) of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and offered to organize a new event, the first edition of the Science and Technology Week. [3]. Since then, it has promoted the Science and Technology Week (SST) in the DRC every year [4] , [5].
For 5 years, she directed the PEQPESU Project Unit (Projet d'Education pour la Qualité et la Pertinence des Enseignements aux niveaux Secondaire et Universitaire), a project of the Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST) of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with the support of the World Bank [6]. In addition, she directs the association Investing In People, which she founded in 2013, in order to offer scholarships to women in STEM in the DRC [7].
She was also a Member of the presidential panel responsible for supporting the mandate of the DRC as President of the African Union for the 2021-2022 financial year. During this mandate, while advised by Congolese-Togolese inventor and expert Manuel Ntumba, she oversaw the development of a roadmap on the use of space technologies, digital transformation and geospatial applications in achieving the objectives of the African Union (AU) Agenda 2063 [8] , [9] , [10].
This later resulted in the organization of the first-ever African Forum on Geospatial and Socio-Economic Progress (AfGSEP Forum) under the theme : "space technologies for sustainable development in Africa". The forum was organized on the sidelines of the ninth Week of Science and Technology (SST), in collaboration with UNESCO -DRC, Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST) and the multinational organization Tod'Aers Global Network [TGN] [11] , [12].
