Biographie modifier
Dyer est né à Trowbridge, dans le sud de l'Angleterre, et intègre adolescent le centre de formation de Southampton. Il signe ensuite en tant que professionnel dans l'équipe première où il reste 4 saisons et joue 66 matchs.
Après un prêt concluant en 2009 au club de Swansea City, il est recruté définitivement pas les Gallois le pour une indemnité de transfert d'environ 400 000 £[1].
Le , Dyer inscrit un doublé contre Bradford City en finale de la League Cup. Dyer remporte la League Cup avec Swansea City.
