Lobosa est un sous-embranchement d'amibes. William Benjamin Carpenter définit en 1861, le taxon comme une classe, dans la super-classe des Rhizopoda. Thomas Cavalier-Smith, en 2009, redéfinit le taxon en tant que sous-embranchement.
