I am sorry to write in English, since I don't speak French (had to use Google Translate for the article). The article is inaccurate, Petropoulos did assemble some American cars, but never produced Pobeda etc., and, certainly it never produced any car in such numbers (as mentioned in the article). The company still exists. Please refer to info widely available on the internet. The article has to be completely rewritten or removed. Skartsis (discuter) 10 février 2023 à 20:29 (CET)Répondre

Hello Skartsis Bonjour If you want, you can re-write it in English on a stub (yours is there: Spécial:Ma page/Brouillon and send me a note when it’s ready and I will have it translated. Kirham qu’ouïs-je? 10 février 2023 à 20:35 (CET)Répondre
Hello, and thanks for the quick response. The article is extremely inaccurate, and one must be VERY careful with such cases - as the reputation of Wikipedia is compromised. Sorry I am not familiar with the procedures; the only thing I can propose is to translate the article in English Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petropoulos . This article was originally written by myself (some modifications ever since, but it remains accurate) and has plenty of valid references (incuding my own publications).Skartsis (discuter) 10 février 2023 à 20:48 (CET)Répondre
I’m not sure you understood the article, though, as it does not say Petropoulos produced Pobeda. Only that the Fargas was based on Pobeda.
Please check what it really says if you translate it with deepl.com... Kirham qu’ouïs-je? 10 février 2023 à 21:00 (CET)Répondre
There were NEVER any Petropoulos Fargas, Naras, Taras, Rex, Carrier... NEVER EXISTED! (one could contact the company itself if in doubt...). Petropoulos assembled a few Willys and Ford's before WWII, and produced small numbers of its own tractors (Π-35 and Π-55) and light trucks (Polytrak/Unitrak). A few hundreds in all. The article is largely IMAGINARY, and, for this reason, very, very dangerous. Skartsis (discuter) 10 février 2023 à 21:12 (CET)Répondre
Ok, then, I’ll check with the English version and delete this one if I deem it pertinent, since anyway there’s no source backing it... Kirham qu’ouïs-je? 10 février 2023 à 21:16 (CET)Répondre
@Skartsis: However, I don’t know for the English wiki, but here, the sources must be linked to the info they back. Can you copy the English article on your stub, link the sources to their info, and warn me when it’s done, so I can translate it? Kirham qu’ouïs-je? 10 février 2023 à 21:20 (CET)Répondre
OK, I'll try it tomorrow. I may ask for some help with the stub. Thanks! Skartsis (discuter) 10 février 2023 à 21:29 (CET)Répondre
I have created the draft https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utilisateur:Skartsis/Brouillon , I hope it's OK. Once again, I want to thank you for your response. Please note that, except for the tractor types Π-35 and Π-55 (and the Polytrak), NONE of the supposed types listed in the article, EVER EXISTED. Thus, the articles about "Petropoulos type P" and "Petropoulos M" should be removed. I will contact and inform Petropoulos company about the whole issue - you could also contact them for double-checking. I an VERY concerned about this new trend in Wikipedia (this was not the first case) regarding "imaginary" articles... Thanks again.Skartsis (discuter) 11 février 2023 à 10:29 (CET)Répondre

Surprised to see that this article, full of false information and imaginary types of cars (with irrelevant references), still exists. Pity for French Wikipedia...Anyone in doubt, can contact Petropoulos company itself.Skartsis (discuter) 9 novembre 2023 à 11:24 (CET)Répondre
