Hello, sorry for writing in English.

First, please know I want to improve this article. Yves was working from an earlier (too long) version, which I have tried to shorten. I was close to the artist, and on the Italian site, after some debate, I elected to leave the editing to the community. But that was after citing all the sources. I wanted to leave something relatively complete even if imperfect.

Yves, the user who had input the original text is French, but he is less versed with computers than I am. So he did not put the original text into the Brouillon page, as I had advised him to do (having learned from my experience on the Italian site).

I do not mean to make excuses, only to explain.

I do not want to "promote" Ghelli. I want to inform about his art and life. I wrote what you read now (translated in part by Yves, who also knew the artist) in the most objective tone I could. Evidently not objective enough!

Can you please tell me the portions of the text that are "promotional" to your eye / ear? Is it a question of tone or content or both? Does it still feel too long?

We will do our best. I wish I could move the text to Yves Brouillon page but I can't do that. And I don't have the capacity to develop it in French on my own.

The "Personal life" section is optional. It is not included to flatter Ghelli, but to fill in important circumstances which may have engaged him in his painting. Through the late 1980s (before becoming more market-oriented) Ghelli was strongly affective in his approach so life circumstances influenced his output significantly. That said, this section could be removed.

Please let me know your thoughts and advice. I notice you have removed the text from the French "live" page and re-inserted a stub. Thank you for doing that... I don't know if Yves understands why this is happening and perhaps you could write to him directly. Best,Alexsubrizi (discuter)

The problems are the same as on the article of the Italian wiki. Article too long; list of secondary exhibitions, list of catalogs, lists of recognitions, details of the personal life, no références. The article should go to the basics with references for each statement .... Look at other wikipedia articles about similar painters and do the same ....
