modifierVanDutch is a yacht building company that was founded in 2008.[1] Based in Golfe Juan, France, the company’s original model was the VanDutch40, which was first delivered in 2009. As well as building new yachts for clients, VanDutch also provides chartering services, ongoing yacht care services and sells pre-owned yachts on behalf of VanDutch owners.

modifierVanDutch was established in 2008 by Louis Sargnac and Joel Amor. The company’s original office is located in Golfe Juan, in the Alpes Maritimes region, close to Cannes.[2]
The company has sold over 200 units across four models, including the VanDutch 40, the VanDutch 40 Walkaround, the VanDutch 30 [3] and the VanDutch 55.[4] These yacht models were designed by Dutch yacht designer Frank Mulder.[5]
The first VanDutch yacht to be delivered as a VanDutch 40, which was launched in 2009 in Golfe Juan in the South of France.[6]
VanDutch yachts are used as standalone day boats as well as superyacht tenders or chase boats.[7] They cost from between half a million euros to over a 1.5 million euros.[8]
The yachts are built by Marquis Yachts, which signed an exclusive manufacturing agreement with VanDutch in 2013 [9] [10]; before this, the yachts were built by S2 Yachts. In 2015, Marquis filed a litigation case against VanDutch for a contract term dispute, but the issue was resolved rapidly.
VanDutch regularly participates in global events including the Miami International Boat Show [11], the Monaco Yacht Show, the Dubai International Boat Show [11] [12], Boote Dusseldorf and the Cannes Yachting Festival.[13]
VanDutch has had a partnership with US dealerships VanDutch USA, Inc. and VanDutch America, Inc since 2013 [14] and has been the official yacht partner for the Formula1 Red Bull Racing team during the Monaco Grand Prix.
In 2013, VanDutch won a World Yacht Trophy for “Best Design up to 24 metres” for the VanDutch 55, having been nominated as a finalist alongside the Pearl 75' and Maiori 78'.[15]
Products
modifierVanDutch currently builds four different models of yachts to order for clients, available in a range of colours.[16] In its first eight years since commencing production, VanDutch has delivered approximately 200 units in total to clients worldwide, including approximately 150 VanDutch 40s, 35 VanDutch 55s, 12 VanDutch 30s and five VanDutch 40 Walk-Around models.
The VanDutch 40 was launched in 2009, the VanDutch 30 was launched in 2012, the VanDutch 40 Walk-Around was launched in 2012, and the VanDutch 55 was launched in 2013. The yachts range in their accommodation capacity, with the VanDutch 30 accommodating two guests in a double berth to the VanDutch 55 accommodating up to 10 guests on board.
A fifth model, the VanDutch 75, is under construction and due to be launched at the end of 2017.
The yachts designed to be lightweight and fast, with a construction that uses a vacuum-injected composite sandwich construction technique. The VanDutch yachts are able to reach speeds of over 40 knots. The hulls also make use of Kevlar® reinforcement in key positions for robustness. The yachts’ decks feature a synthetic teak material brand Esthec, which is available in a number of colours.[17]
