The 50 Greatest Cartoons: As Selected by 1,000 Animation Professionals est un livre de 1994 écrit par l'historien de l'animation Jerry Beck (en). Il contient des articles à propos de cinquante courts-métrages considérés comme étant parmi les meilleurs jamais réalisés. Les cartoons ont été choisis d'après l'avis de 1000 personnes travaillant dans l'industrie de l'animation.
Chaque cartoon dure moins de 30 minutes et est animé par celluloïd (sauf Gertie le dinosaure). Dix-sept des films sélectionnés sont des courts-métrages Looney Tunes et Merrie Melodies produits par Warner Bros. Cartoons, et dix d'entre eux ont été réalisés par Chuck Jones. Tous les cartoons sélectionnés ont été créés et réalisés avant 1960, sauf The Big Snit (#25, 1985), The Cat Came Back (#32, 1988), Bambi Meets Godzilla (en) (#38, 1969), L'Homme qui plantait des arbres (#44, 1987), et Quasi at the Quackadero (en) (#46, 1975).
