English: Official Seal of Bueng Kan Province of Thailand, announced in the Royal Thai Government Gazette in March 2, 2012 (see the sources below).
ไทย: เครื่องหมายราชการของจังหวัดบึงกาฬ (ตราประจำจังหวัดบึงกาฬ) ตามประกาศสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี เรื่อง กำหนดภาพเครื่องหมายราชการ ตามพระราชบัญญัติเครื่องหมายราชการ พุทธศักราช 2482 (ฉบับที่ 266) [ว่าด้วยการกำหนดเครื่องหมายราชการประจำจังหวัดบึงกาฬ] ลงวันที่ 2 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2555 ประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา เล่ม 129 ตอนพิเศษ 52ง หน้า 30 วันที่ 19 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2555

ตามประกาศดังกล่าว ถือว่าภาพนี้มีฐานะเป็นเครื่องหมายราชการ ตามพระราชบัญญัติเครื่องหมายราชการ พุทธศักราช 2482

ลักษณะและความหมายของดวงตรา ปรากฏความตามที่บรรยายในราชกิจจานุเบกษาดังนี้


เครื่องหมายราชการของจังหวัดบึงกาฬ (ตราประจำจังหวัด)

ประกอบด้วยภูทอก บึงโขงหลง และ ต้นไม้ ในวงกลม ลวดลายไทย

ความหมาย

ภูทอก หมายถึงภูเขา ที่มีลักษณะเป็นภูโดดลูกเดียว เป็นภูเขาที่มีการสร้างสะพานและบันไดไม้เวียนเจ็ดชั้น สามารถชมทัศนียภาพได้โดยรอบ เป็นสถานที่ปฏิบัติธรรมและเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวของจังหวัด

บึงโขงหลง หมายถึง แหล่งน้ำจืดขนาดใหญ่ ในจังหวัดบึงกาฬ ที่เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศน์ ได้ประกาศให้เป็นเขตห้ามล่าสัตว์ป่า และได้มีการขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นแหล่งชุ่มน้ำระดับนานาชาติ อันดับที่ ๑,๐๙๘ ของโลก และเป็นแหล่งน้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์ สำหรับใช้ในพระราชพิธีที่สำคัญของประเทศ

ต้นไม้

หมายถึงความชุ่มชื้น อุดมสมบูรณ์ เป็นที่อาศัยและยังชีพของคน และสัตว์ทั้งมวล แสดงถึงความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของจังหวัดบึงกาฬ ที่มีป่าไม้ พรรณไม้ ตลอดจนสัตว์ป่าหายากมากมาย
