DescriptionPsammoma.jpg	THYROID GLAND: PSAMMOMA BODY IN PAPILLARY CARCINOMA There is a single necrotic tumor cell in the center of this structure that probably acts as the nidus for its formation. Despite the label, this photo appears to be a squamous pearl in a squamous carcinoma, without the calcification required of a psammoma body.
