Time again to celebrate the willows blooming in the enchanted willow marsh at Juno Dunes! This year a bit earlier than usual...last year I photographed them in February. The golden honey bees were back & busily foraging while I hung over the boardwalk railing trying to photograph them in the wind. This rather unique freshwater marsh is only a few hundred yards from the ocean and the sound of waves breaking is carried on the sea breeze. The Coastal plain willow blooms in early Spring. Spring comes very early here!
