The black and white photo is from September 2022. The bridge had to be destroyed by Ukrainian Forces in order to halt the russian advance on Kyiv in March 2022.
We see a concrete bridge, so to speak, from the front. The road leads towards us until it breaks off right in front of us. Parts of the road hang into the murky little river directly in front of us. A white van has fallen over the edge of the break-off and is lying with its wheels facing upwards. Further back on the intact area of the bridge, construction material is already lying and construction worker containers are standing. Still further back, on the left a construction crane and in the very background, softly drawn in the haze of this gray day, the silhouette of the town of Irpin.
