A line built according to this system is 301 12 TRACKLESS TROLLEY TRACTION located in a suburb of Vienna, the length being about IJ miles.There are no level stretches, the steepest grade being 8.4 per centand the least 2.81 per cent, and there are several sharp curves andsometimes very narrow roadways. Four wires are provided forthe trolley in order to avoid the exchange of contacts. The poweris provided by connecting the wires to the electric street railwaycircuit, the positive wire to the trolley, the negative wire to therails. The rolling stock consists of four motor wagons, each witha capacity of 22 passengers, two 20-horsepower motors driving therear wheels.
