Stamp of the Kingdom of Burundi ("Royaume du Burundi"); 1965; commemorative stamp of the issue "100th Anniversary of the UIT ("International Telecommunication Union")"; stamp motive with a "Telstar"-satellite and an old telephone handpiece.; stamp postmarked 1965 in Bujumbura (old name: "Usumbura", capital of Burundi)
Note:
The "Telstar" was the first civile telecommunication satellite for an broadcast and TV transmission in USA and West Europe. This satellite was launched on by the NASA and was only active for 7 month. Nevertheless he is locaced still today (2019) in the near-earth orbit.
