Terence Orby Conran, né le à Kingston upon Thames et mort le à Kintbury (West Berkshire)[1],[2], est un designer et homme d'affaires britannique. Il est célèbre pour avoir fondé Habitat et The Conran Shop.

Terence Conran fait ses études à la Central School of Arts and Crafts de Londres. Il est d'abord créateur et fabricant de meubles et devient rapidement un designer réputé. Il fonde en 1964 la société Habitat qu'il revend en 1992 pour créer sa nouvelle enseigne, The Conran Shop.

La fondation Conran, qui dirige le projet Boilerhouse, est créée en 1981 pour stimuler les liens entre l'industrie et le design.

En 1989, Terence Conran fonde le Design Museum de Londres[3].

Il a publié plusieurs livres sur les règles de base de la conception, de l'aménagement et de la décoration d'intérieurs.
