About the modification of Ecchi's picture extension (svg to png)

Could you please explain me in what .png is better than .svg (and what is your sources) ?

The PNG-Image is an export from the SVG-image with Inkscape. Wikipedia uses librsvg to render SVG-images, that has problems with some SVG-images and does not display them correctly. This happens often in thumbnail-previews. Until librsvg is better in handling such images, it is better to use the exported PNG version. --Niabot (d) 12 février 2009 à 19:24 (CET)
