Umberto Colombo (né le [1]à Livourne, Toscane - mort le à Rome) était un scientifique et homme politique italien du XXe siècle.
Biographie modifier
Diplômé en chimie à l'université de Pavie en 1950, Umberto Colombo est devenu un spécialiste reconnu des questions d'énergie. De mai 1993 à mai 1994 il a été ministre des Universités et de la Recherche scientifique dans le gouvernement présidé par Carlo Azeglio Ciampi.
Umberto Colombo était, depuis 1974, membre de l'Académie des Lyncéens et de l'Académie des sciences italienne. Il était également membre honoraire du Club de Rome[2].
