English: Ivory during the early ion age at Sam'al was used to decorate precious furniture and cosmetics boxes and most of them when found, were burnt and charcoaled by fire. Egyptianized scenes were the predominant ones. Here, a young man holds a lotus flower in his right hand while his left hand holds a jackal-headed staff. 8th to 7th century BCE.
