Don't know if they are going to keep the Magentis name but I kind of like it! With the 2.0 Turbo engine shared with the Hyundai Sonata Turbo I am sure it is a blast to drive! Love the Panoramic Sunroof!

The all-new Optima continues Kia's design-led transformation.

This stunningly beautiful mid-size sedan conveys luxury and athletic confidence from every angle. Inside, the design theme continues with a magnificently equipped cabin with available comforts that include heated and cooled leather front seats, a full-length panoramic power sunroof, an Infinity® sound system and Kia's new UVO infotainment technology*, powered by Microsoft®.

Beneath Optima's smooth, aerodynamic exterior lies a high-tensile steel body structure to provide a rock-solid platform for superb ride and handling. All this can be accentuated with available sport-tuned suspension and 18" alloy wheels.

Optima features a range of four-cylinder powertrains including Kia's first-ever gasoline direct injection (GDI) engines – a 2.4-litre, 200-horsepower unit and a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine producing an impressive 274 horsepower. The Optima comes with Kia's next generation "Active ECO System" improving actual fuel economy by optimizing the automatic transmission and air conditioning systems. The driver can select this mode from a button located on the steering wheel.

Plans also call for Optima to be available with a 2.4-litre gas-electric hybrid powertrain as the first of several Kia hybrids coming to Canada in the near future.
