Ballad of the Green Berets est une chanson patriotique américaine sortie en single en janvier 1966. Écrite par le staff sergeant (en) Barry Sadler et l'auteur Robin Moore et interprétée par Sadler, cette ballade est l'une des rares chansons de l'époque de la guerre du Viêt Nam à présenter l'armée américaine, en l'occurrence les « bérets verts » des Special Forces, sous un jour positif.

Ballad of the Green Berets rencontre un grand succès à sa sortie et se classe n^o 1 des hits-parades établis par les magazines Billboard et Cash Box. Ses ventes sont si élevées qu'elle termine également en tête du classement de fin d'année de Billboard. Elle a été l'objet de plusieurs reprises, ainsi que de parodies.
